Eurovision 2010 Haiku #34: Turkey & 2nd semi-final review

Rockers in white suits

Are you my mummy?

And there endeth the haiku for the semi-finals. Azerbaijan are currently the overall bookies’ favourites and you can see why – Drip Drop is the sort of slow-burner that, if performed well, could have real impact on the night. Generally speaking the “New Eurovision” countries have put in better efforts – I’d strongly rate Armenia, Romania and Georgia for the final – and some of the “Old Eurovision” nations give the impression that they just can’t be arsed any more and are just going to send stuff that recalls their glory days – viz the Netherlands and Ireland.

Anyway, there are just five haiku to go now, and they’ll be for hosts Norway, and the “Big Four” – that’s us, France, Germany and Spain. Stay tuned as they’re coming this week…
